Lupita, thanx for the info on Buddy's Tribute party. Unfortunately I had a prior function to attend in Newport Beach CA. I sure wish I could have been there. Buddy was a major influence on my drumming and singing. To play with him was an absolute thrill for me.I was amazed at how the crowds responded to him when we were on stage.I saw him last here in Denver back in Oct of 07. I spoke with him for a long time. I knew then he did not have much time. We can take comfort in the fact,that death will one day soon, be a thing of the past for mankind.

hey Skip, we missed you at the Buddy Miles Tribute in Austin this past weekend. The event was just fantastic, lots of great bands and touching moments. It was so sad at times seeing Buddy up on the screen next to the stage playing away. He had so much wanted to have had this event as a reunion of sorts and it was in the planning stages, unfortunately for us, the good Lord took him to play for him. His music will live forever!

Hello Skip,

Hope this note finds you well. Thank you for including My Favorite Things on the playlist. You have a great repertoire of music. If I am not mistaken, approximately 9 years ago, I visited KUVO and was interviewed by the late Ed Martinez when I released the Carmen Jimenez's salsa album. In addition, we performed at the Casino. Enjoyed the hospitality and warmth of the crowd as well as the managers who booked the venue. Again, thank you.
